Thanks to all the replies on the brake issue. As I gather, both lines go
into the proportioning valve, then split up from there. Nice to know. It
would also be better for me to go with a later model rear end as later
model rear disc brakes don't like the shaft with the key and slot (correct
me if I'm wrong). It's tempting. Anyone have a later model 8 3/4? Doesn't
need to have gears, and something narrower than the stock one would go
along nicely with what I'm attempting to do. Thanks again. Incidentally
it would be for the '61 Newport.
