The 59 Sport Furys all had dash plaques mounted on the glovebox door, which
read something like "made especially for...". with the original purchaser's
name engraved on it by the dealer...
Chrysler put either 318s or 361s in the Sport Fury. Some say the 383 was
available later in the year. No written proof of this has been made
available to the public AFAIK. I have seen two SF's with 383's.
You say your friend's car has gold highlights. The 59 Sport Fury came
with the gold dash plaque, a gold medallion in the center of the grille, a
gold "v" on the trunk lid, and perhaps some other gold colored items, which
I can't think of at the moment.
As for the pushbutton transmission, I can't visualize where one could have
"413" stamped on it....There are 5 buttons, R, N, D, 2, 1....no more.
