While traveling in Michigan earlier this week I ran across a '58 DeSoto
Firesweep sedan for sale in a front yard. I think we were north of Muskegon
at the time (mid state on Lake Michigan shore).
The card in the window said:
" 1958 DeSoto, 68,000 orig., 12 miles on motor and trans, new brakes and
lines, new parking brake, needs tune up on carb, exhaust, shocks. $2800.00
O.B.O. or trade for truck of value. Call 547-7958 or 547-5478 Ask for Jack
"
No area code given.
Car was solid white with a gray and black original interior needing some
work. Car had very little rust showing and had tinted glass and automatic.
I did not open the hood or doors. Chrome was good and also tail lights.
Seemed like a fair price to me.
I know nothing further about the car. Don't ask me; talk to the seller.
