I've read about these Plymouths a couple of times. I believe Chrysler had a partner in Belgium who put Perkins 4 cylinder desiel engines in Plymouths for use as taxi cabs in export markets. Some may have made their way back to Canada, but the overall production was very small. It would be very interesting to read a more complete and authorative answer to your question. -mel (in Oregon) Mel Lester Jr. meljr@xxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.connet80.com/~meljr On Mon, 4 Jun 2001, In Purgatory wrote: > Never heard of it!!!! > anyone out there with more info on these ? > Mark & Don > > > 1956 plymouth savoy with an original 4 cylinder perkins diesel.featured > around > eight years ago in the "American classics Plymouths 1956 -1959" this > book is by Motorbooks international american classic > series. this car is one of only 100 made and according to > the book the only one left to their knowledge. > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=591878651&r=0&t=0 >
