I attended my first car show in my 55 Belvedere in 95. The show took place
in Lindsay, Ontario Canada. I didn't bring a chair and at no water while the
weather was blistering. Nobody paid any attention to my car all day. It was a
Mopar show and everybody was looking at the muscle cars. I had the only "old"
car there. I drove 3 hours to get there and had battery problems to boot.
Finally the show was over and I wanted to leave there as fast as possible.
Then lo and behold they call my name and say I won People's Choice award and got
a trophy. They then made me feel like a king and ask to bring my car to the
middle so everyone could look at it. I got in the car and it wouldn't start, so
they gave me a boost and handed me my trophy. Maybe for every bad show, there is
a good show somewhere. At that moment I knew that Mopar people are the best and
they still are.
