Joe, Your turnsignal probably doesnt work on one side because a bulb is burnt out. if there isnt enough current draw on the blinker, it won't blink. As for headlites, START with the hi-lo floor switch. The wire tends to get messed up after stepping on it for years...also the switch gets road salt or other corrosion in it from your shoes and goes bad. Also check the connector plug for corrosion/good contact.
