This reminds me of my dads 1st new car, a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere. I was real young at the time. He bought it because it was less expensive than a Chevy he had his eye on. It was that yucky green color and was it ever stripped. He had a choice of a radio or a heater. He took the radio. Mom made him get the heater also. He said he put over 250k miles on that car (I think it took a few engines to achieve this). It had a V8 and a 3 speed manual shift transmission. The license # was California TCL279. I remember one night when dad was driving there was a loud TWANG! Dad stopped and looked around and couldn't find anything wrong. The next day we found a slit in the hood where one of the fan blades had jettisoned itself.
