Hello everyone
greetings from Italy.
Just had the good luck of buying a 58 New Yorker wagon 8
places, in very good running condition, but with very bad pot metal ( door
handles, taillight bezels and lenses, bezels on tailgate, where rubber is
mounted , bezel on tailgate where lock for window is mounted, haedlight bezels
and external chrome remote mirrors),
and very screwed side moldings, where screws and rivets
were used to keep the moldings and the aluminum insert mounted on the car.
Bumpers will need rechrome, one rear guard needs some metal surgery and all the
small emblemns in the grille and the flanks are also missing.
I have tried contacting some suppliers, both in the Staes
and in Sweden but to
date i got no reply .
In a few days the car will be registered and driving in my
country, but am really missing these parts. If someone has them, please fell
free to contact privately at mopar@xxxxxx
will reply direct and off list
The car is very rare, 428 produced, and one of very few
produced for export! Productio date was july the 9, one of the very last wagon
to come off the line.
Would be happy to hear from other owners to share common
problems and solutions.
Another big problem seems to be carpet. Seems ACC doesn't
want to mess with a car this old. Any other sources?
Thank you for all your help
