This is a very common problem for the dang things. Takes removal and rebuild to fix and not really worth it. I have two which do this and keep large metal pans under them and remove and dispose of the oil every time I start the cars ---plus add around a gallon of tranny fluid. Tranny will work fine and not drain that fast if in regular use so no real problem. Sort of a waste of fluid but the cheapest solution by far. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John M Zastrow" <Fins59@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, December 18, 2001 11:59 PM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] Powerflite > Ran into a knowledgeable Mopar fellow last year at Iola Car Show (Mike Meier > from MN; some of you may know him - I know Mel does - He speaks highly of > you, Mel) We were talking 59 Plymouth transmissions (torqueflite) but > this info might pertain to other tranies also.
