An interesting thought: Is it worse from an
originality standpoint to convert a 300-G hardtop into
a convertible than it would be to have converted a New
Yorker convertible into a 300-G? (I'd vote for
starting with an existing convertible on the basis of
body integrity; not sure any 41-y/o car is an ideal
patient for 'vert conversion.)

Thoughts of others?
