Hello all
If anyone is really interested...NAPA is the best
place to find oil filter interchange.
They sell and stock filters for heavy equipment and
fleet service, so they have
an expanded interchange reference.
You will need a " bud " in the business to help
you, because they don't like
to sell you filters for experimental purposes.(
liabilities, warranties, etc.)
Ask your local Napa dealer for an old oil filter
catalog. They update often,
and throw the old ones in the trash. YOU WILL BE
AMAZED at some of
the filters that fit common engines, not by
listings but by thread size, reach,
diameter, and rubber seal location. Remember your
oil pressure is only as
good as your engines overall " SEAL" (
quality of oil pump, compression, ring wear, etc.) Oil filters just clean the
oil, and help hold enough oil with the check valve so your engine doesn't slap
when you start your vehicle.
