Hi All, My friend and I have spent 3 days attempting to pull a brake drum off of a 59 Plymouth. It is in a salvage yard. I have the right kind of puller and I coated the axel with a rust dissolving, penetrating oil. So far the score is drum 3, humans 0. I'm going back on Monday to try again. I'm thinking about applying a little heat. Any other helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Also, there is a 51 and a 50 sitting next to this car. I have taken some measurements and everything looks like it's the same size. If the 59 drum wins, will a 50 or 51 work on my 57 Belvedere? I also need a rim for my spare tire. Again, they all appear to be the same. Will a rim from the 50, 51 work on my 57? The tire I pulled off the 59 has water in it so I do not want to use the rim. Thanks for your help.
