Have you ever seen a '59 DeSoto Diplomat Custom 2dr HT ? red and white, "Christine" look.. Go to http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f/images/59desdiplom.jpg This car is in east France, it has the 318 V8 "power pack" (4 bbl), pw steering, pw brake, etc... As you know these export models are Plymouth with Desoto front end clip. Same with Dodge Kingsway ("Plodge" as said Collectible Automobile) but it seems that DeSoto Diplomat are more uncommon. The '59 Diplomat Custom is equivalent to '59 Plymouth Fury. There was a very special model, the '59 DeSoto (Diplomat) Adventurer which was a Plymouth Sport Fury (2dr HT or conv, with false spare tire trunk ornament but with a Desoto front end..). Never seen one except advertising.. ! Same model in the Dodge export models was the Kingsway Lancer. And never seen one .. -- Philippe COURANT (Pau, France) Imperial 57 Crown convertible Buick 58 Roadmaster sedan - American Car Club de France (ACCF) : http://www.accf.com - Chrysler Imperial France : http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f - Cadillac " Standard of Excellence " : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-cad - SportsCars : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-sprtcar -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Need an answer fast?
