I guess I didnt answer your question directly.
You could dump a bunch of BarsLeak in the radiator...knowing
that you will be re-coring it soon.
If you have to goo to the hospital every other week, you could
take the radiator out right after your return from the hospital

My radiator in my 1957
Desoto has begun to leak again.
It has been to the shop twice in the last
two months for the same problem. It continues to leak under the lip of the top
tank on the engine side in the center.
I would like to keep this setup
because I have an original CCPD stamp on the top of the radiator tank but..is
there a more modern unit that will bolt in that I could use for now?
This
car is my daily driver. I have a child that has to go into the hospital every
other week for chemotherapy. I am looking for the easiest possible fix for
now. Thanks! Jason
