On the 361, the stamp is on a flat "shelf" near the
base of the distributor. It will read "36". There also is a letter of the
alphabet corresponding to year of manufacture, but I forget how it
goes..hopefully someone else will send you the complete
answer.

I need your expertise on the 318s and 361s in
the 59 Plymmys.
Where exactly are the engine numbers
stamped??
Is there a style or prefix to the numbers that
would identify it to a the 59 body style?
EXAMPLE: a 57 Fury 318 would
be stamped 'FP31'
a
58 350 would be stamped 'L350' or 'FLP350' if put in a
FURY.
