The vent windows should be not be blacked out.   I would say someone has,
indeed, painted over them, which would not be a difficult thing to do.

The rear vent window was stationary and did not open on the Crusader or
Plaza, but did on the other series.  This would also make it easier to paint
over - no chrome frame around the glass.

My 56 has the vent window blacked out.  I noticed the ones in the orginal
brochures were not.  Has somone painted over them?
