That part number, 1646 478, is the same on U.S. model Plymouths. It appears
in the parts book in three sections, 23R, 24A, and 24C :
23R (Outside Finish Mouldings)
Rear Quarter Panel Moulding - Right : 2-door sedan, 2-door hardtop :
Plymouth Savoy, Dodge Regent, Dodge Kingsway Deluxe, DeSoto Diplomat
Deluxe
Rear Quarter Panel Moulding - Right : 2-door sedan, 2-door hardtop, 2-door
convertible :
Plymouth Belvedere, Dodge Mayfair, Dodge Kingsway Custom, DeSoto
Diplomat Custom
24A (Special Equipment Mouldings)
Rear Quarter Panel Moulding - Right : 2-door sedan, 2-door wagon :
Plymouth Plaza, Dodge Crusader, Dodge Kingsway, DeSoto Diplomat
24C (Modified Sport Tone Mouldings)
Rear Quarter Panel Moulding - Right : 2-door wagon :
Plymouth Savoy, Dodge Regent, Dodge Kingsway Deluxe, DeSoto Diplomat
Deluxe
Basically, it is the trim on a 2-door Plymouth (or Dodge/DeSoto equivalent)
that runs from the door back to the base of the taillight. Regardless of
series, they are all the same part number. So that should help widen your
search.

Subject: [FWDLK] Looking for chrome/ss part 56 Plymouth Plaza/Suburban
I am looking for the passenger side rear fender moulding for a 1956
Plymouth. My application is Plymouth Plaza Sport Sedan (2 dr.) with
sportone paint or 2dr Suburban Wagon or Canadian built Dodge Crusader. Its
the piece that runs from behind the door to the tailight at the belt line.
I have a Canadian part number but don't know if its the same as the U.S.
part numbers. . Part number I have is 1646478. Official name is Quarter
Panel Moulding Part Group 24a. If anyone has a different part number for
that I would appreciate that information. Would like a good used or NOS one
please. Mine has kind of a flat spot and I did not have good like getting
the last one like that straightened.
Thanks.
