Antonello,
as far as i know, the 57-59 remote mirrors were of one
design, which changed slightly in 1960.
a picture would be worth a thousand words here, but since I
have none to scan for you, I will try to use words:
the 57-9 "triple strut" mirrors had a smooth, concave-curved
housing, like a half a grapefruit, perhaps, with a little visor lip at the top.
Beginning in 1960, that housing was a bit shallower. The most obvious
change, however, was the addition of a ridge or 'shelf' near the opening
(where the mirror glass mounts.) In addition, the base is squared off at one
end.
I wish Ihad a picture to share with you. I will try to get a
shot of the correct mirror tonight.

Subject: [FWDLK] ITALIAN MOPARS
Hello from Italy
would like to thank all you nice guys that
replied me on the subject.
Another question, I promise it's the last
one.
My 58 New Yorker wagon is a very late production
unit, and came from the factory with a remote control outside rear view
mirror. Now the mirror is missing, but the factory knob in the dash
is still there . Anybody has a picture of this mirror? Is similar to the unit
used on 60 models?
Thank you
Antonello
