Just because a car in a junkyard had LH threads does not mean they were
installed at the factory. Just as many car owners replace LH threads
with RH threads, someone may have scavenged parts off a pre-1970 Mopar for his
late 1970's unit. Probably with the intention of saving a few bucks
that way.
As stated by a few members, 1970 was the last year Chrysler used LH threads
on their cars. From 1971 and on it was RH threads on both sides of the
car,

I beg to differ. I pulled a set of road wheels
off a late 70's wagon at a yard and it had LH lugs on the driver's
side.

LH lug nuts went away with the 71 models.
If the 73 Charger had LH lugs, I don't think it was built with them.
Maybe someone "backdated"?

Thanks for the FYI guys. I know my 73
Charger has them on the driver's (or left) side. I took it in for an
alignment at a local shop and when I got it back it had 2 lugs on the
front broken off. The guy tried to tell me they were frozen and that
he was a "mopar" guy and knew about the nuts. Good trick considering
I had just replaced the ball joints and all the front suspension rubber
pieces myself. People like that I tell to go work on a Honda, and
leave my blessed Mopars alone. It was my fault though, I should have
checked them out better. Live and learn. As for the other
parts, let me know when I can get a kenueter
valve.
