Hi, Just been going thru this with my '57 Chrysler........ The original thickness of the body mounts is 1/2" . GM body mounts of the same era will not work they are much bigger dia & thicker, nearly an 1", so your body will sit too high. Gary Goers does them, but going by the picture in his catalogue he only does the flat mount without the ridge/flange which some of the mounts have to locate it in the frame. The good news is I have located a reproduction place in Australia which lists them, the dimensions are exactly the same as an Australian Chrysler. The catalogue I have is a few years old so I need to check on availability....will post on the list as soon as I know. Hope this helps Owen ----- Original Message ----- From: Roger Howard <rdhoward@xxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, May 04, 2003 3:30 PM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] Body mounts > Hello, > Okay, so the Steele site doesnt seem to have what we need. > Can anybody tell me what thickness the 57-9 body mounts were originally?
