1957 DeSoto Firedome (S-25) models built at the Wyoming Avenue plant in Detroit had serial numbers from 55332001 to 55377868. Your 55362153 falls within that span, meaning it was the 30,153rd Firedome off the Wyoming Avenue line. As you can tell, a total of 45,868 Firedome models were built at Wyoming Avenue for 1957. Unlike US-built Chrysler and Imperial VINs from 1955 and all Mopar/Chryco VINs from 1958, the older VINs cannot be decoded. They are strictly numbers that ran in sequence from the first Chrysler Model B in 1924 with its "1001". American-built DeSotos used VINs that started with either "5" or "6" beginning around 1930. But just to confuse everyone, American-built Chryslers also used "6", along with "7". Plymouth/Dodge/Fargo/DeSoto Trucks were "8". while Dodge cars used "3" or "4" and Plymouth cars "1", "2" or "3". The final digit, "9", was uised by Chrysler of Canada along with LosAngeles-built Plymouths and Dodge trucks during the 1930's. Again, an exception to Chrysler of Canada were the early 1930's Dodge Trucks that used "89".
