I got a couple of these e-mails. I
turned them over to eBay and also to the FDLE (Florida Department of Law
Enforcement). According to the FDLE, the e-mails come from Romania, where
they don't have laws against such things.
The e-mail doesn't ask you to send the update
information in an e-mail, but directs you to a site that looks like a real
eBay site and has links to the real thing. It asks for your user ID,
credit card numbers and (what really made me suspicious) Social Security
number.
Can't be too careful these days.

you are unlucky enough to recieve an email asking you to UP-DATE YOUR
INFORMATION. ebay have asked ourselves that if we recieve more of these bogus
mails to reply with details etc. If you do get this spoof site email Delete
it.
