The problem with a kit like the one sold by Eastwood is it not to be useful for those who have a clear or colored plastic steering wheel. With that kit, you patch up cracks etc., then sand and paint. The '59 Dodge steering wheel was made from a translucent plastic. Patching and painting would not come close to recreating what was original. The guy I am referring to creates a mold from an original wheel and re-casts a new wheel, injecting the correct plastic into the mold/molds, all with some UV protected plastic so that the wheel is actually better then new. I've seen a kit in Eastwoods catalog for repairing steering wheels. Has anyone tried it? -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 2003 Calendar voting results and ordering information is online!
