Joe,
It should drop in with no problem. The 57 Dodge 325 V8 is
essentially the same as the 270 Dodge used in the early 56
Plymouths, before the 277 A series V8 was available. It
should mate right up to the transmission too. The only
issue may be motor mounts, which may be different. He will
need to use the 56 Dodge V8 mounts.
