Ron, 15.74 was NOT bad for a MODIFIED car--per your explanation--in 56/57. It's too bad Tim's "295 H.P." race car can't meet up with Lee Smith's "340 H.P. (ahem)" race car. Lee's car presently has a 2.92 rear end on it, but as per factory A.M.A. specifications, Tim would have 10 rear ends to choose from, & Lee would have 13 rear ends, NOT including Torqueflite autos, for either car (perhaps the best choice, but with a 4.58, or "so", the whole race could probably be run (by Lee) in 2nd gear!
