Tim, your 3900 lbs sounds reasonable to me; was your car weighed, or, how do you know/believe that figure? I ask 'this', because IIRC, the AMA specs, for the 56 D500 (essentially the same car, weight-wize) is around "3650". There were 2 57 D501's @ Daytona; nether is "known" to have survived. "Sherwood's" remembered-car (S. has an EXCELLENT memory, & is President Emeritus of the W.P.C. club) would be the 3rd D501 H.T., as long as it would have been purchased-new, by Claude Short Dodge, In L.A. .
