[FWDLK] TRUNK LID INSULATION

I am sure most of our MOPARS had these when new and have nothing there now.

I am surprised Gary Goers has never come up with a material that he could just cut slices from.  I would think he could sell a bunch of them.

 

ANYWAY---could someone please give me the thickness of an original piece?

(I am guessing it would be 1/8" or 1/16")

Was there a 'standard' length and width?  or would all trunks have different ones?

 

What does it most likely resemble

Roofers tar paper?

Thin fiberboard painted flat black?

I am going to hunt around next week to see what I can come up with and hopefully make some pieces up.
