[FWDLK] 55 Chrysler question..

I just picked up a 55 Windsor 2 door hardtop. It runs and would drive if
it had brakes but is VERY rusty. The front seat is ready to fall to the
ground. My question is, is this car supposed to be positive ground or
negative? I don't  remember. The guy I got it from has the 8 volt hooked
up negative ground and it starts and runs... with a jump and a remote
starter button on the solenoid... but I'm just wondering.
