I think would be afraid to hold a throttle linkage on with it. JB weld will patch up a hole in a crankcase (or motorcycle engine), may even hold up in a water jacket, but it is one thing to hole fluids in, another one to hole a moving linkage in place. You could try it and see what happens, its worh a shot, just have a backup plan to get home if it lets go on the road.
