Re: [FWDLK] Antivirus - Free

I just downloaded one that is free from www.grisoft.com - this is a
professional industrial antivirus company who makes a free version of their
AVG program available for individual home users. It's 6.22 MB, took me 2
hours on dialup. Beats $60 for a new Norton program and having to subscribe
to it after the free update period ends - AVG updates are also free and you
can set it up so it updates itself and you don't even have to think about
it.

If anyone else wants to try it, be sure to choose the free version (listed
last in a column on the left of the page), not the trial version, unless
you're running a server -

I got it because I am again getting bounce e-mails and I apparently ether
have a virus in here or my e-mail has been hijacked once more to show as the
return address for virus mails sent from another computer somewhere. I've
gotten a number of wierd e-mails lately with attachments, didn't open them,
but it pays to be sure. Next time I reboot, it will be up and running.
