I've used bias-ply tires with great success on every car with one exception: my 1977 Cordoba, which was designed for radials. My '55 Dodge V8 rides wonderfully at all speeds on 7.10x15 WWWs from Coker Tire, and looks fabulous doing so. If I had one of those new jellybean-looking cars and wanted to spike up the looks a bit (not much else can be done) I'd pop either a set of radial WWWs on it or a set of Vogues, which are reputed to be the best tires available in America for passenger-car use in terms of wear, temperature and traction, and have an embossed whitewall with a thin gold line.
