[FWDLK] 56 DeSoto door latch

Hi everyone,

 

I need help getting my car door open.  The driver's door latch has broken internally and the door is tightly closed.  Neither the inside or outside door handle will open it.  I have a replacement latch assembly but now need to get the door open to do the repairs.  I can pull the inside door panel away from the door at the rear just enough to look down inside.  I also have been able to remove the front seat but can't get the door panel off the door because it fits too tight against the seals.  All helpful advice will be appreciated.
