I went ahead and bought the ’55. She is a sedan,
gray outside, has the 270 V8 with Powerflite tranny. A little surface
rust in a couple of places and some of the pot metal bright work is a little
pitted. Car stored inside for a long time and has 67K on the clock.
No radio. Has dual exhaust. I have not had the breather off yet to
see if it has a 4 bbl which would make it the powerpack option.
Interesting how both Chevy and Dodge/Plymouth referred to the same setup as a
powerpack. Has an 8V battery which looks like a 6 but aids in starting.
I will be having the windlace replaced along with the interior top.
Does anyone out there have a car like mine?
