I've been running a '50 chevy here that's about half converted to 12V with a
jumper from battery positive to coil positive. Yours could then be cranked
with a jumper cable from battery to the solenoid hot side, this one has a
starter button in it.
It's been long enough I'd want to bring the oil pressure up before I tried
to run it and its' possible it will need a fuel pump -
Or, you could go buy an igition with keys somewhere and swap them out,
should be able to remove the switch without need of a key on these cars.

Subject: [FWDLK] hot wiring
This may be a stupid question but how do you hot wire a car? I haven't
done it in so long I forgot. I remember something about holding a
jumper wire from the coil to the battery and then from there I'm not
sure. I just picked up a '58 Plymouth from the original owner and
they of course lost the keys. It hasn't run in about ten years but is
in pretty good shape really with zero rust. It's not a 2dr or anything
It's a simple 4dr but it is the unique Silver Special and does have
the 318 in there and it does have the forwardlook emblems at the rear
fenders. Motor turns freely. The only thing missing is the center
"V" on the grille. Any info greatly appreciated. thanks, Nick
Nichols.
