That is not always true about dual heat shields,I know for a fact that my 58 Fury only has one heat shield and all Furys had dual exhaust.You can also tell that this car never had two.The same was true on a 301 4 BBL (power pack) 57 Savoy I used to own. I always felt that the left exhaust hanger being a factory one(matching the rt side) is one of the better ways to tell if it's a factory dual exhaust car,but that wont tell you if it's a power pack car or not, duals were optional on all V8s,with or without a power pack.
