List Members, Check out this claim that the 56 D500 Dodge could be ordered with a 354 Hemi as an option. The lister (when questioned) sites erroneous publications that make the same claim. I see this as the perpetuation of more bad information on the very complex postwar Chrysler performance history. There seems to be no way to stop these misleading or unsubstantiated claims. It makes it difficult for people who want to get into the 50s Chrysler muscle scene because it is so poorly represented by unwitting historians passing on poor research. I see this list as the very best resource in this regard and am very thankful for its existence. To a prospective buyer a resource such as our list is much better than old publications. Please, if you are buying a rare car consult the list for feedback. Even if it is mistranslation or just bogus research, we cannot stress enough: it is always "Buyer Beware." Tim in Golden, 56 D500-1 (Documented by Chrysler Historical Society)
