I just got an email from ebay that they didn't get my report. Here it
is:
ALERT: Your email has not been received by eBay.
We reserve the spoof@xxxxxxxx email address for handling reports of
Websites that have been set up to impersonate eBay. In order to
investigate these reports in a timely manner and provide help to members
who have been affected by this type of activity, we only accept emails
that are forwarded to this address.
If you received this message after attempting to report an email that
appears to have come from eBay but actually directs you to another site,
you must forward the message to us again by using the forward function
of your email program. Make certain that spoof@xxxxxxxx is in the "to"
field. Do not alter the subject line, add text to your message or
forward the email as an attachment.
Looks like my report wasn't involved in the takedown of the phony site.
I forward several emails every week to them and only once did they come
back and say it was really from ebay.

It is now cancelled. Shows as an invalid item. I reported it earlier
to ebay, hope that's what got it done.
Bob Moore, suggest you notify ebay at spoof@xxxxxxxx that you bid on
this item. They won't know as you were taken to some other phony
lookalike site. If you gave your log in info, get to ebay fast and get
your log in info changed. Also find out if any thing has been listed
in your ebay name. Look for listings under your your log in/screen
name. NOW!
Good luck, Ray

The current auction is a hijacked account (no activity since last
April by
the looks of it) and the auction is a scam. This is a pretty common
scam,
it tries to sucker people in on a car with a giveaway price, you send
the
money and get nothing at best, at worst get robbed when you show up
somewhere to try to pick up the car. They steal existing photos of a
car
somewhere and make up or in this case outright copy the description
for the
listing.

There is a '61 Chrysler 300 G convertible on ebay that just appeared
this morning. It could be a scam. They have a buy it now of $6500.
If it isn't a scam somebody should jump on this. Nick.
