Plastic isn't chromed in the usual sense, it is placed in a vacuum chamber and covered with a layer of aluminum particles formed by zapping a piece of aluminum foil between a pair of electrodes. The result is clear coated, leaving the appearance of real chrome.

Plastic can be chromed, so I don't see why fiberglass couldn't -

Yes they are fiberglass....I do not know much about chrome plaiting but I
think if you paint them with high content solids i.e. metal, plate them in
copper and then nickel and then chrome?? Just like pot metal???
That is what I would like to know if this can me done??
