I was in Coudersport, Pa the other day
(it is a little bigger than Shinglehouse) and I seen a 1955 Plymouth Belvedere 4
door sedan V 8. I had to go back and locate the owner. This was not
had as there was a hair dresser, and a sporting store at the location of the car
so I took the sports store and asked the one man inside who owned the
car. And it was the owner I asked. ( igues you can tell a Mopar
man from his looks---he is all smiles). Any way it has painted wire wheels
on it and a painted wire wheel for a spare. It did have 2 antenna's on the
back fenders which looked pretty good. I had never seen painted wire
wheels only the chrome ones. Was it an option to have painted wire wheels
for the 1955 Plymouth and on a 4 door. And I realize that any one could have put
these on and not from the factory. The car had about 75000 miles on it and
came from Central Pennsylvania where the salt on the roads is not severe.
I also had not seen the type of rear antenna ornaments like these ones, but then
I had not seen rear dual antenna's on a 55 Plymouth before either.
I had mentioned that I will not be
attending Carlisle this year and wish all who go a great time. And wish
all a GREAT 4th of July. We do have a Great Nation that we live
in.
