There were 29610 2dr HTs built in the 59 Dodge model year. So maybe 10000-15000 were Coronets. Yes, the engine looks like a 326 (one year engine in the 318 family). But why go thru the trouble of (apparently) rebuilding the engine and then painting it blue ???

This eBay seller says that there were only 2151 Coronet 2dr HTs built in 1959.  That is insane.  Anyone know the true numbers?  Also, does that engine look like a 326?
