If you did that to a Crankshaft Pulley, you could pull off/move the Harmonic Balancer. The balancer is attached with a rubber mount and cam be pulled loose.You need a plate type puller that uses bolts thru slotted legs of a plate. Bolts go thru the slots into threaded holes on the pulley center and then you apply pressure by turning the center big bolt against the crank.
