Adam,
All 392
transmission adapters to later TorqueFlites can only use the small block TF.
This is because the bolt pattern on the block is the same for all early Hemi/Poly
engines and later 318/340/360 engines. All 318s should be the same.
The Hot
Heads web site lists their GM trans adapter for all 54 – 58 Mopar early Hemi/Poly
engines, and I don’t think a 59 318 would be any different from a 58 318.

Subject: POLY 318 TRANS ADAPTER
Anyone
out there know if a 392 Hemi trans adapter to a modern trans (HOT HEADS) would
work on a 318 Poly motor? I want to use a 59 318 in my 27 Ford roaster to make
it a little more forward look, but I have to use the GM trans that is behind the SBC (yuck!) that's in
it to keep the starter on the right side to clear the steering box.
