There is an absolute auction (no reserve, everything goes)
auction of Mopar cars and a few parts, tomorrow, Sunday, just south of
Independence, Kansas. Leo Charvat, son of the farmer and mechanic who
collected over 300 Mopars and other cars is disposing of the last of the
inventory for his mother who still lives at the family farm.
While there are no Chrysler 300s except one '79, there are
other cars of and around this period so there are parts cars as well as good
fully restorable and also a few excellent cars that need put back on the
road. For the most part this is cars from the very early '50s just barely
into the '70s. There were never any "muscle car" hemis there and yes,
Cuda's are gone as well as '68-70 Chargers. But most of anything else you
could name including 440 equipped Imperials (ck out the '73 black on black
LeBaron!) and really nice '56 Dodge and DeSoto sedans are still
there. A '61 Fury 2dr and 4dr hdtp will be a nice pair for someone.
The '64 Dodge 880 2dr looks showroom fresh! Also a several
trucks.
Back when Leo was selling cars one at a time I brought
home two, a friend living in the area got three and together we bought
another. Even the individual sale prices were excellent. I
don't expect this will be well attended and there are going to be some GREAT
BARGAINS tomorrow.

miles south of city of Independence on CR3900 or 4.5 miles north of Dearing,
KS)
TIME: starts at 12:30, inspection

Leo was very friendly and helpful knowing history on
almost every car. Bring a trailer and some cash and go home happy.
Drop me a note if you go and bring home a future trophy
car. Sorry I could not get this to y'all earlier but I was out of
town.
