..Irrational Exuberance!
Was that :"slight Loss" (negative amortization, for sure!) you mention
YOUR term, or the un-lucky seller's ...?
(A guy, having) "more dollars, than sense", perfectly describes someone
who would 'drop' 230K, based on some seller's "puffery" (don't call it
misrepresentation, or even Fraud) regarding a car's provenance, and
then, lose interest in the purchase/investment, & proceed to dump it,
and realize an over-100K loss, and NOT 'look-back', ON the folly....
Now, THAT's what I call "disposable" income !

Yes, the 56 Dodge Golden Lancer D500 this year is the same car that sold for $216,000 last year. This car was originally a Golden Lancer and D500 from California. The 2x4 carbs were added during restoration.
I heard that the buyer last year has lots of bucks and a large car collection. But he is selling off about 50 cars this year at B-J. One source said he changed his interests to airplanes. Or maybe just needs the cash. This year the car went for 126,000. A slight loss, but still the highest selling 56 Dodge I ever heard about.
