Had a number of people ask me about the fact this '57
Coronet 2dr hardtop has a D500 engine with only a 2bbl carburetor. Always
remember guys that the easiest mistake is to assume that what is on any car
today has been there since it was built. Really highly unlikely for
100%.
This car, according to Neil Vedder's decoding has had the
motor replaced with the D500 and at some time has had a 2bbl intake and carb
from a '59 Plymouth installed, likely during the '70s gas crises.
Yes, any D500 car had a single 4bbl and then there are the
Dash Ones, 501s, Super D500s and all those are a different game.
I'm fully satisfied with my purchase as all I wanted was
the 325 KD500 code engine. No one claimed the car to their family so it
will be parted out.
