Re: [FWDLK] Cleaning Car Windows without Streaks

The best cleaning product for car windows since "Glass Wax----no longer sold" is to use micro-fibre cloths.  What you should find is a micro-fibre /pad/cloth that has an enclosed sponge somewhat like the old bug removers that were always in the nasty dirty water at the gasoline stations of old.  Then dry the window after cleaning with them with another micro-fibre cloth.  You can generally find what you need at Walmart.  Use plain water, perhaps with a dose of Windex.

This will do an excellent job of cleaning the dirt and built up Armor-All(never use this stuff on you interior because when it evaporates it leaves your windows in horrible condition and absolutely will ruin your interior vinyl or leather...use it only to kill weeds in your yard)  and cigarette scum from your inside windows with virtually no streaking.  Glass Wax worked extremely well, but there is no reason that you cannot use any good auto cleaner wax also.  Micro-Fibres do an excellent job and are faster.

Subject: [FWDLK] Cleaning Car Windows without Streaks

Folks...

I can't seem to prevent streaking when I clean the windows of my '55 and '56 NYer St. Regis cars. Does anyone have sure fire method of getting streakless clean windows?

Thanks
