In my experience, you can count on a participation rate of about 10%,
meaning if you have 100 members, about 10 will regularly participate in
discussions. Another 40% or 50% might occasionally chime in, or join to ask
one particular question and basically forget about it, and the rest seem to
either "lurk" or sign up and forget they signed up without ever posting.
Personally, I've been on the list here for probably seven years, but I very seldom visit the ForwardLook website (I don't have a ForwardLook car, so I don't have a lot of need or reason to presently) and few of you probably recognize my name aside from the occasional mailing. Just my little bit of feedback to the topic at hand. As an adjunct to the Rec Room's -"future" Poll, which site I attached, here, yesterday, and as (it) appears on the FWDLK website's General Discussion board, to date there have ONLY been some 60+ votes cast ! As a vote is readily-accessible, and takes all of a nanosecond to cast, it would appear that the Poll actually reflects the number of "active" members, who frequent these 'premises' !!! I forget when the voting is to end, but, to answer a non-asked question: there are (WELL-) less than 100, apparently, "active" members on the FWDLK site/boards!!!!
