the problem with every carpet provider for forwardlook cars, is, that like
everything else [like fender caps] the carpets are cut to be fit over [or just
laid] over the old carpet- so by being narrow, you wont see them curl up against
the doorsills or kick panels. i've bought about 7 carpets from jc
whitney/newark auto over the years... knowing they are budget.. but make them
work- if you remove the underpadding on the tunnel- it gives the slack to get it
a hair under the doorsills and kick panels... but still always shy of the rear
seat. as well.
i started patterning and sewing auto carpet for my cars for the past 5 or
so... i hear kanter makes a nice set- never used them, but can imagine a
better fit for the price- only thing is they may be soft patterned, as in
wrinkles here n there.... too bad they just dont mold carpet for these
like they do GM A bodies- perfect fit every time and always look good.
