In 1961 the Dart came in three series - Seneca, Pioneer and Phoenix. All three series came with either the slant six or the 318 (313 in Canada) as standard equipment, with the exception of the Phoenix convertible. The convertible was the only V8-only model in the Datt line in 1961.. For some weird reason, the smaller 1962 Dart 440 (replaced the Phoenix) had the slant six only in the sedan and 2-door hardtop.
