Re: [FWDLK] Transmission Cable Questions

Ron,

I think Imperial Services sells a reproduction of that cable.

If you prefer to patch it, I recall using heat-shrink tubing on mine to
seal it, and it has been fine for years.

Subject: [FWDLK] Transmission Cable Questions

Hi Gang -

Two questions about the torqueflite transmission cable for my 58
Plymouth.

The rubber sheath that covers the cable is ripped and needs to be
replaced.
Because of this, I have fluid leaking from the cable. Where can I get a
replacement sheath ?

What is the secret to aligning the cable at the transmission end, so
that my
car won't go into gear when it's in neutral ?

Thanks,

Ron
